Saturday the 14th of June will bear witness to an exciting evening of racing around a tight and very picturesque circuit of St Ives town centre.

The event will be a nocturne meaning that it will run into the late evening. The course will be barriered to protect the riders from a large and enthusiastic crowd. The local council are fully behind the event which is 3 weeks before the Tour De France hits Cambridge. Coincidentally, it is also the evening that England play Italy in their opener for the world cup. The seven local pubs surrounding the course will be staying open to televise the game after the cycle racing has finished.

We are aiming for a real party atmosphere and of course some intense and closely fought town centre racing. The emphasis on the night is maximum participation so there are races for all ages and all genders. The highlight of the evening will be a National B Race for the top riders finishing at 10pm around the fully lit course. As dusk falls we expect the views over the medieval bridge and great River Ouse to be spectacular as the riders race along the quayside.

The youth racing will form part of the ERYCS league.
