This privacy notice explains how we collect, use, and store personal data in relation to SICC cycling time trial events.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following information from all participants:

• Full name

• Date of birth

• Type of bike used

• Gender

• Average 10-mile time trial speed

Purpose of Data Collection

This data is collected for the purpose of:

• Displaying event results

• Categorising riders appropriately

• Maintaining historical performance records

• Ensuring fairness and transparency in the competition

Legal Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, the lawful basis for processing this data is legitimate interest, as the information is necessary for organising, recording, and publishing time trial event results in a fair and transparent manner. Information collected for the functional operation of this site is stored on servers hosted by our provider in the USA.

Data Storage & Retention

• Personal details (name, date of birth, bike type, gender, speed) will be stored indefinitely, unless a rider contacts us to request their information be removed.

• If a rider requests deletion, their personal data will be removed entirely, including removal from all historical event results.

• Event results will be stored and displayed for five (5) years, after which they will be permanently deleted from our system.

Data Access & Sharing

Your information will only be used for the purposes stated above and will not be shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Request correction of inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your personal data

• Object to the processing of your data
