There is a weekly Club Run allowing people to enjoy riding their bikes in a friendly, relaxed, non-competitive environment. Riders meet outside of Richardson Cycles in St Ives town centre at 08:45 on Sunday mornings and leave at 09:00. Rides are typically between 50 and 60 miles in length although there is no obligation to ride the entire route. All routes feature a cafe stop around the half way point. Details of the route are published in advance on the club’s forum. Groups usually arrive back in St Ives between 13:00 and 13:00 depending on the speed of the group.
Riders organise themselves into several smaller groups of similar fitness and ability. On a typical Sunday there will be three groups with six to ten riders per group. People are free to choose which group they want to ride with. However new riders are encouraged to start with the slowest group then progress to the faster ones if they find it too slow.
Club runs are open to members of St Ives CC and non-members by invitation.
Club runs meet at Richardson Cycles St. Ives Sundays 8.45am and leave at 9.00am prompt.
