Club Run Report – Wimpole Hall

Very brief report from me from the ‘A’s’- could be summed up as ‘what a great ride!’ The weather was smashing, not too hot, not too cold, not too windy, the company was great, and the stop was enjoyable. Wimpole Hall is always a good stop in my opinion.

The only highlights I can think of were Paolo’s new bike, his puncture just after the climb out of Abbotsley (where we decided to split into 2 smaller groups of 6 & 7) , the ‘crunch’ as he hit a pothole, his handlebars working loose as a consequence & some gear selection issues. Not that I’m jealous or anything!

Jack showed us how climbing should be done (Josh as well up the hill towards Wreslingworth!) and some good fun with the sprinting back through Knapwell, Connington, St. Ives in all the usual places (I love that run-in, especially with a tailwind).

Got back to St. Ives at about 12:50.
Good Club Run stuff – Happy days 🙂
