Evening TT report and results

On a gloomy – evening with the odd bit of drizzle we had our smallest turn up to date, however their times were extremely quick!!

We had the long awaited return of Ken Rolland – looking leaner and meaner on his machine. We also had Kevin Hearn, out for a PB, along with fellow A group rider Mark Robertson who also looked strong.

The Juniors were not a huge number, but also made up with quality times. Sean Purser looked determined from the off to make an indent in his PB, the sixteen-year old was not far off the

Winning pace with a highly impressive 24:35.

With 5 riders breaking the 25-minute mark – top honours went to Ken Rolland, with Kevin Hearn hot on his heels.

Two good performances from our Lady riders, with ever increasing strong riding by Wendy Gooding. Sarah you need bigger wheels on your bike!!!

Important Notice for Wednesday Evening Time Trials:-

Next Week

We are on the N1/10 course – so for those of you who urged me to put on this course – Mr Whitwell and Mr Steven hope your keen to make an appearance.

Marshalling

It’s the first of the big week’s on the N1/10 next week – we are desperate for marshals – we need 11 No. in total. Please gets your names down quick!!

Rider Limit

For the summer weeks there are No Further Rider numbers limitations! Until the latter few weeks of the season.

Signing-in

  1. If people request “Early Starts” please can you give an estimated time as it helps Berenice to know what order to send off in
  2. With so many people wanting early starts Berenice cannot accommodate all and priority will be made for the Juvenile Riders – numbers 1 – 10 will be reserved for the younger riders.

Road Safety and Good Conduct

  1. Please do not “U” turn in the vicinity of the Start and Finish (i) Firstly it is breach of CTT rules (Riders will be told – if you are a persistent offender you will be Disqualified). 3 Riders committed this offence this week!! (ii) With riders riding up to the start line at speed (several this week!), there is a high risk of collision.
  2. Will riders please not congregate at the Industrial Estate at the end of the ride – you were creating a hazard to traffic coming-in and out of the junction. Once you have finished your ride and cool down ride, will you please go back to the HQ, if you are going to hang around.
  3. Please remember to shout out your numbers LOUDLY as you go over the line, otherwise there’s a risk you won’t get an accurate time. With several riders piling over the line at once, it’s important that the timekeeepers can assign the correct time to the correct rider! They need to hear you over the din of the A14 truckers!
