Gareth Cheesman competed today in his first duathlon, the Nicetri Anglian Water Standard Distance Duathlon.
The course was undulating, with some sharp climbs thrown into the 10k run course. The road conditions were fast and dry with a slight breeze. A good hill climb from Dillington into Perry spread out riders on the 40k bike section. Gareth fought tired legs on the second run and sprinted down the final straight to take 3rd place in the 35-39 year age group.
