The St Ives CC team braved the baking heat and raced in the 5th round of the Mud Sweat and Gears MTB league at the Phoenix Bike Park in Kentford in Suffolk.
The juniors claimed 4 podiums today. Sam Trotter had another impressive race coming 2nd in the Youth Male category. Ralf Falkner came joint 2nd in the U12 Boys race after a sprint finish, Orla Kenna came 2nd in the U12 Girls category and Sapphire Curtis came 3rd in the Juvenile Female race. Ruby O’Dell came 7th in the U9 Girls race and Max Falkner came 7th in the Juvenile Male race.
Jack Taylor showed great form coming 6th in the Sport Male category. Leo Falkner had an impressive race in the Open Male category coming 4th in a race of 83 entrants. Ian Megginson came 13th and Mick Curtis 60th in the Open Male race.
