Podium success for Sean Purser

Sean Purser is celebrating a triple podium success over the last couple of weeks.

Purser took the win in the Monument Spring Crits at the Redbridge Cycling Centre in IIford in the junior race category. He broke away in an early attack with another rider and the two of them stayed out front for the rest of the race with Sean winning the final sprint.

Purser also raced in the 2/3 category at the Ixworth Criterium race hosted by West Suffolk Wheelers. This demanding 900m circuit is in the heart of the village of Ixworth,m. Whilst high average speeds were difficult to maintain in the hot weather, Purser decided to attack at the half way mark in an attempt to bridge across to a couple of lead riders. He paced his effort well and held on for a second place finish.

Finally, Sean raced at the NCRA race at the Rockingham speedway in at 2/3 category race. He broke away with 3 other riders after 20 minutes but they were then joined by 2 others riders after a few minutes. A group of 6 contested the final sprint with Purser sprinting into 3rd place.
