As happens most Augusts the numbers drop off slightly, but it means that a good opportunity to pick up extra points if chasing a trophy. Adrian Beer was fastest again setting yet another PB and is now the second fastest St Ives CC rider over that course. Second was non member Ieuan Woods in 22.22 in his first attempt at this course and that’s also after a hard week of racing overseas. Third was Tim Phillips who although slower than usual was still fastest veteran. Max was fastest junior rider dipping under 24 minutes for the first time in 23.57.
Tim is looking to enter a team in the 4 up team trial at Brands Hatch on 15th September. I might join in but I would slow them down, so if you’re fairly quick and interested let me know and I can pass your details on to him. Alternately there is a 70km team chain gang race on road bikes on the Friday night with male, female and mixed categories, maybe some of our quickest riders might be interest in that.
