The first evening club TT of the season, and many people expected a nice night for a ride. When I left work I had my sunglasses on! By the time we got to Sawtry it was raining, and after 30 minutes or so of steady rain the course was thoroughly wet. For many people the ‘old course’ was in fact a new course, so lots of initial times (and by definition course PBs) were posted, and for others it has been more than two years since they rode that course, so it was certainly unfamiliar territory, with the wet roundabouts needing careful handling.
Well done to the 14 riders who put down a time – I think most if not all of those will get beaten in future weeks. Full results are below.
