The 16th round of the SICC Club 10 series brought a warm summer’s evening and a light southwesterly, as well as a good helping of riders ready to test themselves against the clock.
Impressive times across the board were recorded, with Emma Smith putting in another PB of 30m06s, just beating her brother Matthew by 3s! The fastest time of the evening was posted by Cy Gearing, who rode the N1/10 course in 21m49s, narrowly beating competition from Paul Schofield who came in at 21m50s. Fay and Natalie put their chaingang skills to good use with a 2up TT.
A number of riders reaching their maximum of 9 scored events means that the positions at the tops of the category leaderboards have changed for both the male and female overall competitions, with Cy Gearing and Lisa Cheesman both taking their titles for the season with only one more scoring week left.
With the additional road bike categories proving popular this year, Annoushka Lingham secured her position at the top of the women’s road bike podium, although the men’s is still up for grabs…
