A mixed bag of times for the first evening time trial of 2015, showing those who put some effort in over the winter and those that didn’t! First place went to Malcolm Smith of St Ives CC (who after only week one must be odds on favourite to scoop many of the end of year trophies) followed by Kristian Woolf of Kings Cliff Flyers and Simon Pritchard of Fenland Clarion. Terry decided to ride his fixed speed in preparation for this weekend open TT and luckily there was a tail wind on the long drag up to Alconbury Hill rather than a head wind. Well done to the younger competitors, Sam, Holly, Nathan and Julia who are all aged 13 to 15. Also well done to Kevin on riding his first TT and Berenice for riding just days after completing the Paris Marathon (don’t know how you managed it as I could barely even walk for days after I’d done one!). I’m sure many of the times will come tumbling down as the weeks go on. These are friendly events and it just shows that anyone regardless of age, ability or experience is welcome.
Many thanks to the following for helping out on the night:
