Last weekend I did the Eroica ride, 100miles on a 1980s Peugeot in vintage clothing as well, including off road sections on the trails. That bike has a smallest gear of 42/23, so the steeper hills (including Mam Tor) were a real struggle. I also had some minor mechanicals with two dropped chains and a broken bottle cage. Apart from that it was an excellent ride and I was proud to have done the longest route.
